Food delivery robotics company Coco Robotics has secured $80m to enhance its AI platform, scale its autonomous fleet and form new enterprise partnerships.

This investment round encompasses contributions from both existing and new investors, with former Uber senior vice-president Ryan Graves, who is now CEO of Saltwater, joining the financial backing.

Coco achieved more than 500,000 zero-emission deliveries in key cities in the US and Helsinki, marking its inaugural venture in Europe.

With a focus on capital efficiency and scaleability, the robotics company is now poised to expand further in the US and internationally, with plans to deploy thousands of vehicles by the end of this year.

Coco Robotics CEO and cofounder Zach Rash stated: "We've been very intentional about building technology and a business model based on unit economics that work today - not five years down the road.

"We're now at the forefront of applying AI to solve real, everyday problems in urban logistics, and this funding helps us move faster - from advancing our AI platform to expanding our fleet globally."

The company's AI-powered fleet of autonomous robocouriers is enhancing urban logistics by making deliveries more cost-effective and reliable.

Coco's focus on reducing traffic and emissions aligns with the growing demand for sustainable logistics solutions.

Its existing partnerships, including with Uber, highlight its affordable and scaleable approach to improving urban goods movement.

Ryan Graves stated: "During my time scaling global ops at Uber, I saw firsthand how hard it is to build logistics systems that work at scale.

"What impressed me about Coco is their grounded, capital-efficient approach to real-world autonomy. They're solving some of our most challenging problems for businesses, consumers and cities today that will define our culture tomorrow."

In early 2025, Coco Robotics and DoorDash broadened their sidewalk robot delivery service to US markets, building on the success of a pilot programme with Wolt in Helsinki, Finland.
