Breakfast burrito concept LJ’s Lil’ Cafe has opened a second location in Orange, in the US stage of California - its first full bricks-and-mortar restaurant.

The new site, in addition to serving the brand’s core breakfast burritos, includes an indoor dining area and a coffee bar.

The menu continues to focus on made-to-order burritos made with tater tots, scrambled eggs and meats.

Customers can add house-made sauces and salsas, including Creamy Cilantro Crema, Spicy Habanero and an in-house signature option.

The business also highlights the use of handmade tortillas and Portuguese Hawaiian sausage sourced from local suppliers.

LJ’s Lil’ Cafe is co-owned by Lydia and John Clarke, who launched the operation from a shed outside a Home Depot store in Cypress, California, in September 2021.

John Clarke commented: "As two people who had never owned a restaurant, starting out in a shed felt like the perfect way to dip our toes in.

"It gave us the chance to learn, grow and watch our business come to life right in front of our eyes. We're so thankful for the community's support in helping us reach this next milestone. LJ's has always been about connection, family and good food, and we're thrilled to now share these values with more of the Orange County community."

The business was initially run by the Clarke family before appointing Joy Wilson as general manager after two years.

Wilson, whose previous experience includes roles at Chick-fil-A and Sessions West Coast Deli, has overseen operations as the brand has grown within Orange County.
