Major Food Group is developing a new grill concept, Major’s Grill, in London’s Mayfair district, with plans to open in the second quarter of 2026, as reported by Bloomberg.

Work is underway on the restaurant, which will form part of Cambridge House, an Auberge Collection hotel and members’ club.

Major’s Grill will occupy a former ballroom and an outdoor courtyard and will offer 220 seats across the dining room, terrace and bar.

The dining room will feature a palette of Georgian blue and white complemented by dark timber finishes.

The menu is described as a brasserie drawing on classic British grill traditions, reminiscent of the meat, fish and vegetable service at Grill in New York.

Major Food Group co-founder Jeff Zalaznick stated: “It will have an old-school chophouse vibe, based around the classic English grill, a precursor to steakhouses in the US.

“It’s going to follow our cadence. We’re not going to be making things you’ve never seen before — they’re just the best versions you’ve ever had.”

Cambridge House is the first UK hotel for the US-based Auberge Collection and its fifth property in Europe.

The 102-room hotel, part of a £1bn ($1.34bn) project, is being restored in a Georgian building on a 1.3-acre site owned by investors and brothers David and Simon Reuben.

Reuben Brothers principal Jamie Reuben stated: "Major’s Grill perfectly captures the spirit of what we’re creating at Cambridge House.

“It’s about reasserting this historic home at the heart of London life.”

Major Food Group also runs Carbone, an Italian‑American dining room that opened in September 2025 at Chancery Rosewood in Mayfair.

The restaurant will include one of two bars in Cambridge House and will serve more than ten martini variations and select wine vintages.

Guests at the hotel will receive priority booking for Major’s Grill.
