Shake Shack, in partnership with Maxim's Caterers, has announced plans to open 15 new locations in Vietnam by 2035.
The first flagship store is set to launch in 2026, bringing signature menu items and local collaborations.
The move marks a significant expansion of Shake Shack's presence in Asia, where Maxim's currently operates 52 locations across Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau and Thailand.
Shake Shack global licensing president Michael Kark stated: “Expanding into Vietnam is an exciting leap forward for Shake Shack.
“With 15 Shacks planned over the next decade, we’re not just growing — we’re planting roots in one of Asia’s most vibrant, food-loving cultures. Maxim’s is the perfect partner to bring our mission to life, with their unmatched local insight, operational excellence and passion for hospitality. Together, we can’t wait to welcome a whole new community of Shack fans in Vietnam.”
Maxim's, a leading food and beverage company in Asia, manages a portfolio of more than 2,000 outlets.
Their expertise spans dining concepts including full-service restaurants, quick-service eateries, bakeries and coffee shops, with both company-owned and internationally acclaimed brands.
The upcoming Shake Shack outlets in Vietnam will offer signature items such as the ShackBurger, Chicken Shack, Chicken Bites and crinkle-cut fries, along with ShackMeister beer, Shack red and Shack white wines, Shack-made lemonade and custard ice cream.
In line with Shake Shack's ethos of "Stand For Something Good", the company will collaborate with local Vietnamese producers, suppliers and artists to support the community and infuse local culture into its offerings.
Maxim’s chairman and managing director Michael Wu stated: “We have been humbled by Shake Shack’s fans in Asia as well as the warm reception of Maxim’s in Vietnam.
“Maxim’s and Shake Shack have established a successful long-time partnership, and we are eager to deepen the relationship in Vietnam with our commitment to quality, community and outstanding guest experiences. Each Shack will reflect the warmth and hospitality that Vietnam is known for, and we can’t wait to welcome guests.”
In early August 2025, Shake Shack Canada announced plans to open six new outlets in the Greater Toronto Area in 2025 and 2026, creating 400 jobs.
