The Slug & Lettuce in Market Square, Nottingham, England is set to reopen following a six-figure refurbishment.

The location, popular with students and locals, now has new dark blue signage with an illuminated logo.

The venue closed on 1 September 2025 for an estimated four weeks of work as part of the Stonegate Group’s ongoing focus on improving its locations across the UK.

Set to reopen on 26 September, the investment encompassed new paint finishes throughout the walls, fresh foliage and planting, and single and multi-drop pendant fittings finished with frosted glass globes.

Former "birdcage" and VIP booths have been enhanced into four six-seater VIP areas.

The upgrade includes new furniture, including sofas, poseur height (higher) seats and revamped booth seating.

The venue's upstairs space has also been enhanced with two new chandeliers and a mirror ball.

General manager Sean Podmore stated: “This investment has transformed our Slug & Lettuce into an absolute showstopper that we can’t wait to showcase to our guests.

“The refurbishment has not only made our bar visually stunning but it’s also helped create a warm and inviting atmosphere for all our guests – we can’t wait to start serving the best bottomless brunches in Notts once again!”

Guests can access an all-day, every-day 2-for-1 cocktails deal, which includes drinks from Espresso Martinis to Aperol Spritzes. A range of no and low‑alcohol alternatives is also available.

In early September 2025, the Be At One Leeds Boar Lane reopened after a refurb, also part of the Stonegate Group’s focus on enhancing its properties.
