Subway has announced a significant update to its 2024 US summer menu, with new flavours and textures and the return of fan favourites.
The latest refresh, following the unveiling of Footlong Dippers in June, aims to enhance the footlong subs.
BBQ sauce is making a comeback in Subway outlets across the US. The sauce, with hickory smoke, black pepper, red pepper and warm spices, is returning after a three-year break.
Subway has also introduced a new Cheddar Cheese sauce that blends cheddar, American cheese and parmesan, and is designed to complement Auntie Anne's Footlong Pretzel and Footlong Dippers, or be drizzled on any footlong sub.
Subway's culinary innovation expands to the launch of SubKrunch. These crispy bits, coated with savoury seasoning and fried, are aimed at adding an audible crunch and tang to any sandwich, wrap or salad.
The new sauces and toppings are showcased on three new Subway Series sandwiches: Honey Mustard BBQ Chicken, Spicy Nacho Chicken and Cheesy Garlic Steak.
Honey Mustard BBQ Chicken features rotisserie-style chicken with Monterey Cheddar cheese, vegetables and a blend of Honey Mustard and BBQ sauce.
Spicy Nacho Chicken combines chicken with vegetables, jalapeños, SubKrunch, Cheddar Cheese sauce and Creamy Sriracha sauce.
The Cheesy Garlic Steak offers steak with vegetables, SubKrunch, Roasted Garlic Aioli and Cheddar Cheese sauce.
Subway senior vice-president of culinary innovation Paul Fabre said: "Subway's new menu update is all about great flavour at a great value and giving our guests new ways to take their footlong subs and snacks to the next level.

Subway restaurants are now the exclusive vendor for new Doritos Sweet & Tangy BBQ chips, a limited-time offering that enhances the traditional BBQ chip flavour, complementing the latest menu innovations.
Customers can access the updated menu at their nearest Subway restaurant or place an order through Subway.com or the app.
