Sweden-headquartered software as a service (SaaS) company XMReality has announced that it has signed a client deal with US-based private investment firm Guernsey Holdings.

Guernsey Holdings is a top 100 restaurant franchisee and one of the largest operators of fast food chain Sonic restaurants in the US.

As part of the new deal, XMReality will be responsible for providing Guernsey Holdings with its augmented reality (AR) software, Remote Guidance.

XMReality business development vice-president Ryne Simeone said: “We are excited to welcome Guernsey Holdings to the XMReality family.

“Guernsey Holdings is one of the fastest growing restaurant operators in the country and invests heavily in its people and the communities it serves, and we are pleased to work with them as they continue to grow their presence in the US.”

A cloud-based AR software, Remote Guidance technology is designed for helping different businesses to reliably enhance their knowledge transfer.

It provides remote collaboration capabilities by connecting geographically separated colleagues, customers and suppliers, allowing them to interact with each other in real time “as if they were side by side”.

The software also comes with hands-overlay technology that allows users to provider precise, real-time instructions using their own hands.

Other features of this tool include real-time pointers for quick highlights and instant pauses, as well as the ability to connect up to 20 teammates and additional experts at any time and share written messages.

The Sweden-based company claimed that it is General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) compliant and has received Information security standard ISO27001 certification.

According to XMReality, these certifications make its platform safe for users, as their calls are end-to-end encrypted and all the sensitive content created, such as images, recordings and pdfs, are stored on the user’s device or in their own Enterprise cloud storage.
