Japan-based restaurant chain Yasubee Authentic Ramen has announced the launch of its inaugural outlet in the US.

The new outlet at 253 W 26th Street in New York City will offer tsukemen with handmade noodles.

Tsukemen differs from traditional ramen by presenting al dente noodles and broth separately. Customers dip the noodles into the broth before eating.

Tsukumen noodles are served with pork broth, shoyu egg and toppings. Yasubee will offer the dish in two flavours, Shoyu and Miso.

The brand will offer more traditional shio and miso ramen with pork, bamboo and other toppings.

Customers can also access small plates options such as steamed gyoza (pork and chicken dumplings), karaage, shishito peppers and chilled furikake edamame.

Yasubee has been serving in Japan for more than 80 years.

Its menu features dishes such as Donburi, a rice option with protein and assorted toppings, and a range of extras such as menma (bamboo), negi (diced onions) and nori (seaweed).

Other small plates are Aated Sesame Edamame, Wasabi Seared Chasu, potato salad, Onigiri and curry wings.

Yasubee offers a range of cocktails bringing the flavours of Tokyo. These include Yuzu Ale, Matcha IPA and a range of other imported and domestic beers.
