Fast-casual chain QDOBA Mexican Eats has entered two new development agreements that will see 50 additional restaurants open across Atlanta and Nashville, US.
In the Atlanta market, a former McDonald’s franchisee has committed to develop 30 Qdoba sites. Meanwhile, an existing Zaxby’s operator has agreed to open 20 locations in Nashville.

Qdoba chief development officer Jeremy Vitaro said: “We’re thrilled to partner with proven franchise operators who share our people-first culture, exceptional standards for guest service and commitment to disciplined growth.
“Together, we’re bringing Qdoba’s bold flavours to more communities across the US.”
The company said a recent acquisition, alongside an expanded development agreement with B Wild Investments, is supporting its franchise-driven expansion strategy.
B Wild Investments affiliate 7 Star Eats has acquired 22 existing Qdoba outlets in the Pacific Northwest.
Following the deal, its portfolio has increased to 42 restaurants across Alaska, Colorado, Idaho, Montana and Washington, making 7 Star Eats one of Qdoba’s largest franchise operators.
Additionally, B Wild expanded its development commitment to 63 units across Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah and Washington.
B Wild Investments founder and CEO Barry Dubin said: “Mexican fast casual is one of the most attractive segments in restaurants, and Qdoba has the brand, menu, and unit economics to win.
“Just as important, the Qdoba leadership team has been an exceptional partner — aligned, commercial, and genuinely invested in advancing the brand in partnership with franchisees.
“That partnership approach is why we’re committed to growing meaningfully alongside Qdoba.”
Qdoba and its franchisees currently operate more than 865 restaurants.
The restaurant chain aims to open 100 locations annually to reach 2,000 total sites in eight years while shifting its system to 85% franchised units.
Last December, Qdoba Mexican Eats signed new franchise development deals for 90 additional outlets in the eastern US.
