American fast food chain SONIC Drive-In is set to expand its menu with the introduction of the Peanut Butter Bacon SuperSONIC Double Cheeseburger and the Peanut Butter Bacon Shake.
The new limited-time additions will be available from 8 January to 4 February 2024, or while supplies last.

The Peanut Butter Bacon SuperSONIC Double Cheeseburger features two 100% pure beef patties with creamy peanut butter and crispy bacon, grilled onions and melted cheese in a toasted bun.
The Peanut Butter Bacon Shake is a dessert beverage combining peanut butter and bacon with vanilla soft serve and finished with whipped topping and a cherry.
The Peanut Butter Bacon SuperSONIC Double Cheeseburger starts from $6.39 and a medium-sized Peanut Butter Bacon Shake starts from $3.99.
SONIC Drive-In culinary and menu innovation vice-president Mackenzie Gibson said: “Peanut butter and bacon is not a combination you’d expect on a cheeseburger and you definitely wouldn’t think to combine these flavours into a shake, but at SONIC, we ignore what everyone else considers normal to deliver innovation that’ll make guests shout: ‘Hell yeah, SONIC!’

The new addition has been launched across all SONIC locations in the US for a limited period.
The Bacon Peppercorn Ranch Grilled Cheese Burger consists of a 100% beef seasoned patty and American cheese and buttery Texas toast with hickory smoked bacon and peppercorn ranch.
