This compares to a 315% increase versus Q3 2021.

Notably, Administrative Services and Facilities Managers jobs accounted for a 16% share of the global foodservice industry’s environmental sustainability-related total new job postings in Q3 2022, up 36% over the prior quarter.

Administrative Services and Facilities Managers, with a share of 16%, emerged as the top environmental sustainability-related job roles within the foodservice industry in Q3 2022, with new job postings rising by 36% quarter-on-quarter. Cooks came in second with a share of 15% in Q3 2022, with new job postings drop by 8% over the previous quarter.

The other prominent environmental sustainability roles include Environmental Science and Geoscience Technicians with a 7% share in Q3 2022, Building Cleaning Workers with a 5% share of new job postings.

Top five companies in foodservice industry accounted for 6% of hiring activity

The top companies, in terms of number of new job postings tracked by GlobalData, as of Q3 2022 were Raising Cane’s USA, Sodexo, Dave & Buster's Entertainment and Domino's Pizza Enterprises. Together they accounted for a combined share of 6% of all environmental sustainability-related active jobs in the foodservice industry.

Raising Cane’s USA posted 2,186 environmental sustainability-related new jobs in Q3 2022, Sodexo 1,127 jobs, Dave & Buster's Entertainment 845 jobs, and Domino's Pizza Enterprises 598 jobs, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics.

Hiring activity was driven by the US with an 81% share of total active job postings, Q3 2022

The largest share of environmental sustainability-related new job postings in the foodservice industry in Q3 2022 was in the US with 81% followed by Australia (10%) and the UK (8%). The share represented by the US was three percentage points lower than the 84% share it accounted for in Q2 2022.
