Food Preparation and Serving Related Occupations drive food service industry hiring activity
Of the industry's total hiring activity, the highest number of new job postings were for Food Preparation and Serving Related Occupations, which accounted for 50% of the total new job postings in Q3 2023 and were up by 213% year-on-year. Second highest were Building and Grounds Cleaning and Maintenance Occupations, which accounted for 3% and rise by 56% year-on-year, and third highest were Management Occupations, which were 42% of the new job postings and 75% lower year-on-year.

The highest number of jobs were posted by Mitchells & Butlers with 15,480, followed by McDonald's with 1,324, while the highest increase was at Nando’s Chickenland at 59%.
