Office and Administrative Support Occupations, with a share of 33%, emerged as the top individualism & expression-related job roles within the food service industry in Q2 2023, with new job postings drop by 48% quarter-on-quarter. Healthcare Support Occupations came in second with a share of 16% in Q2 2023, with new job postings rising by 84% over the previous quarter.

The other prominent individualism & expression roles include Management Occupations with a 12% share in Q2 2023, Food Preparation and Serving Related Occupations with a 8% share of new job postings.

Top five companies in food service industry accounted for 76% of hiring activity

The top companies, in terms of number of new job postings tracked by GlobalData, as of Q2 2023 were Aimbridge Hospitality, Community Options, Sodexo, Brunning & Price, and Omni Hotels & Resorts. Together they accounted for a combined share of 76% of all individualism & expression-related new jobs in the food service industry.

Aimbridge Hospitality posted 1,741 individualism & expression-related new jobs in Q2 2023, Community Options 904 jobs, Sodexo 483 jobs, Brunning & Price 302 jobs, and Omni Hotels & Resorts 165 jobs, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics.

Hiring activity was driven by the US with a 75.37% share of total new job postings, Q2 2023

The largest share of individualism & expression-related new job postings in the food service industry in Q2 2023 was in the US with 75.37% followed by the UK (18.00%) and Australia (1.96%). The share represented by the US was six percentage points lower than the 81.65% share it accounted for in Q1 2023.
