Vegetables was found to be the most-used ingredient in FSR establishments, featuring in 19% of menu items, followed by chicken and cheese. Fish & Seafood and salad vegetables were also significant ingredients. An analysis of menu categories reveals that soft drinks, salads & sides, pasta & pizza, meal deals and combinations and meat dishes were most popular within the FSR format.
An analysis of the annual price change between 2023 and H1 2024 indicates that the average menu prices in Peru FSR channel have risen by 0.24%. Considering all channels (including FSR) the average price change was 0.02%. As on-premises dining gains momentum following the COVID-19 pandemic, the FSR segment in Peru is expected to experience overall growth.
