Vegetables was found to be the most-used ingredient in FSR establishments, featuring in 20% of menu items, followed by cheese and fish & seafood. Chicken and pork were also significant ingredients. An analysis of menu categories reveals that pasta & pizza, soft drinks, meat dishes, salads & sides and fish & seafood dishes were most popular within the FSR format.

An analysis of the annual price change between 2022 and 2023 indicates that the average menu prices in Spain FSR channel have risen by 0.23%. Considering all channels (including FSR) the average price change was 0.23%.
