Fruit was found to be the most-used ingredient in bar establishments, featuring in 11% of menu items, followed by vegetables and fish & seafood. Cheese and wine were also significant ingredients. An analysis of menu categories reveals that alcoholic drinks, soft drinks, salads & sides, meat dishes and pasta & pizza were most popular within the bar format.
An analysis of the annual price change between 2023 and H1 2024 indicates that the average menu prices in Vietnam bar channel have flat growth. Considering all channels (including bar) the average price change was 0%. As on-premises dining gains momentum following the COVID-19 pandemic, the bar segment in Vietnam is expected to experience overall growth.
