Fish & Seafood was found to be the most-used ingredient in delicatessen establishments, featuring in 12% of menu items, followed by pork and cheese. Vegetables and chicken were also significant ingredients. An analysis of menu categories reveals that salads & sides, sandwiches & wraps, soft drinks, baked goods & morning goods and meal deals and combinations were most popular within the delicatessen format.
