Fruit was found to be the most-used ingredient in pub establishments, featuring in 16% of menu items, followed by beer and cheese. Vegetables and pork were also significant ingredients. An analysis of menu categories reveals that alcoholic drinks, soft drinks, pasta & pizza, meat dishes and salads & sides were most popular within the pub format.
