July 2022 has seen a decrease of 12.19% in the overall hiring activity when compared with June 2022.

IT jobs accounted for a 0.64% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in July 2022, registering an increase of 0.11% over the last three-month average share.

Database and Network Administrators and Architects Occupations leads by classification in July 2022

Database and Network Administrators and Architects Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Asia-Pacific with a share of 51.92% in July 2022, a 6.9% drop over the previous month. Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers came in next, claiming a share of 21.15% in July 2022, marking a 26.67% month-on-month decline. In the third place was Computer and Information Analysts with a share of 13.46% in July 2022, a 36.36% drop from June 2022.

Miscellaneous Computer Occupations registered a share of 11.54% in July 2022, a 25% decline over the previous month.

Top five food service companies in Asia-Pacific’s IT recruitment activity in July 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average flat growth in the overall IT recruitment activity of Asia-Pacific’s food service industry during July 2022 over previous month.

AmRest Holdings posted 48 IT jobs in July 2022 and registered a decline of 11.11% over the previous month, followed by Minor International with 2 jobs and a 50% drop. McDonald’s with 1 IT job and Collins Foods with 1 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a flat growth, respectively, while recorded a flat growth with job postings during July 2022.

Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Asia-Pacific’s food service industry

India commanded a leading presence in the region’s food service industry IT hiring activity with a 65.38% share in July 2022, a 2.86% decrease over June 2022. Macao (China SAR) featured next with a 26.92% share, down 30% over the previous month. Australia recorded a 7.69% share, a growth of 33.33% compared with June 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 61.54%, down by 3.03% from June 2022. Entry Level positions with a 38.46% share, registered a decline of 31.03% compared with the previous month.
