June 2022 has seen an increase of 46.56% in the overall hiring activity when compared with May 2022.

IT jobs accounted for a 0.56% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in June 2022, registering an increase of 0.07% over the last three-month average share.

Database and Network Administrators and Architects Occupations leads by classification in June 2022

Database and Network Administrators and Architects Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Asia-Pacific with a share of 44.44% in June 2022, a 700% rise over the previous month. Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers came in next, claiming a share of 24.07% in June 2022, marking an 116.67% month-on-month increase. In the third place was Computer and Information Analysts with a share of 18.52% in June 2022, a flat growth from May 2022.

Miscellaneous Computer Occupations registered a share of 12.96% in June 2022, a 40% rise over the previous month.

Top five food service companies in Asia-Pacific’s IT recruitment activity in June 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 381.82% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Asia-Pacific’s food service industry during June 2022 over previous month.

AmRest Holdings posted 46 IT jobs in June 2022 and registered an increase of 820% over the previous month, followed by Minor International with 4 jobs and a 100% growth. Starbucks with 1 IT job and HelloFresh with 1 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a 75% drop, respectively, while Darden Restaurants recorded a flat growth with 1 job postings during June 2022.

Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Asia-Pacific’s food service industry

India commanded a leading presence in the region’s food service industry IT hiring activity with a 55.56% share in June 2022, a 500% increase over May 2022. Macao (China SAR) featured next with a 31.48% share, flat growth over the previous month. China recorded a 5.56% share, a flat growth compared with May 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in June 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 51.85%, up by 211.11% from May 2022. Entry Level positions with a 46.3% share, registered a growth of 525% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 1.85% share, flat growth over May 2022.
