Germany-based company Delivery Hero’s IT hiring rose 26.2% in May 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The company’s overall hiring activity increased by 11.37% in May 2022 when compared with April 2022.

IT jobs claimed a 19.17% share in the company’s total hiring activity in May 2022, and recorded a 3.48% growth over the last three-month average share.

Out of the total IT job titles posted by Delivery Hero, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 86.11% in May 2022, and a 129.63% rise over April 2022, while Computer and Information Analysts claimed a share of 5.56% in May 2022, and registered a decline of 42.86%. Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 4.17% in May 2022, a 200% rise from April 2022.

South & Central America drives IT hiring at Delivery Hero

South & Central America emerged as the leading region in the global food service IT hiring activity in May 2022 with a 66.67% share, which marked a 92% rise over the previous month.

Europe stood next with 25%, registering a 63.64% month-on-month growth. North America was the third leading region with a 5.56% share and a 300% rise over April 2022.

In the fourth place was Asia-Pacific with a share of 2.78% and a month-on-month increase of 100%.

Colombia commanded a leading presence in the region’s food service industry IT hiring activity with a 58.33% share in May 2022, a 100% growth over April 2022. Germany featured next with a 25% share, up 80% over the previous month. Mexico recorded a 5.56% share, an increase of 300% compared with April 2022.

Junior Level jobs lead Delivery Hero IT hiring activity in May 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 83.33%, up by 87.5% from April 2022. Entry Level positions with a 9.72% share, a growth of 75% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 6.94% share, up 150% over April 2022.
