IT jobs accounted for a 1.13% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in December 2021, registering an increase of 0.04% over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in December 2021

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Europe with a share of 66.67% in December 2021, a 6.67% rise over the previous month. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations came in next, claiming a share of 20.83% in December 2021, marking a 28.57% month-on-month decline. In the third place was Computer Support Specialists with a share of 8.33% in December 2021, a 100% rise from November 2021.

Database and Network Administrators and Architects registered a share of 4.17% in December 2021, a 66.67% decline over the previous month.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average decline of 16.67% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Europe’s food service industry during December 2021 over previous month.

Greene King posted 8 IT jobs in December 2021 and registered a decline of 20% over the previous month, followed by Domino’s Pizza Group with 5 jobs and a 58.33% drop. Mitchells & Butlers with 3 IT jobs and Welcome Break Group with 2 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a 100% rise, respectively, while Kingston Hospital NHS Trust Dining Services recorded a 100% increase with 2 job postings during December 2021.
