Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Europe with a share of 45.83% in October 2021, a 42.11% drop over the previous month. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations came in next, claiming a share of 20.83% in October 2021, marking a 54.55% month-on-month decline. In the third place was Database and Network Administrators and Architects with a share of 12.5% in October 2021, a flat growth from September 2021.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average decline of 44.74% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Europe’s food service industry during October 2021 over previous month.
Greene King posted 11 IT jobs in October 2021 and registered a decline of 38.89% over the previous month, followed by HelloFresh with 5 jobs and a 58.33% drop. Domino’s Pizza Group with 3 IT jobs and Marston’s with 1 jobs, recorded a 57.14% drop and a flat growth, respectively, while Welcome Break Group recorded a flat growth with 1 job postings during October 2021.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Europe’s food service industry
The UK commanded a leading presence in the region’s food service industry IT hiring activity with a 79.17% share in October 2021, a 42.42% decrease over September 2021. Germany featured next with a 20.83% share, down 58.33% over the previous month.
Junior Level job postings dominate in October 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 66.67%, down by 48.39% from September 2021. Entry Level positions with a 29.17% share, registered a decline of 22.22% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 4.17% share, down 80% over September 2021.
