Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Europe with a share of 41.03% in September 2021, a 23.08% rise over the previous month. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations came in next, claiming a share of 23.08% in September 2021, marking a flat month-on-month increase. In the third place was Computer Support Specialists with a share of 15.38% in September 2021, a 50% rise from August 2021.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 12.12% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Europe’s food service industry during September 2021 over previous month.

Greene King posted 18 IT jobs in September 2021 and registered a decline of 14.29% over the previous month, followed by Domino’s Pizza Group with 7 jobs and a 40% growth. HelloFresh with 6 IT jobs and Compass Group with 4 jobs, recorded a 200% rise and a 20% drop, respectively, while Nando’s Chickenland recorded a flat growth with 2 job postings during September 2021.

Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Europe’s food service industry

The UK commanded a leading presence in the region’s food service industry IT hiring activity with an 82.05% share in September 2021, a flat growth over August 2021. Germany featured next with a 15.38% share, up 200% over the previous month. France recorded a 2.56% share, a flat growth compared with August 2021.

Junior Level job postings dominate in September 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 66.67%, flat growth from August 2021. Entry Level positions with a 23.08% share, registered a flat growth compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 10.26% share, up 100% over August 2021.
