Europe witnessed a 9.5% rise in IT hiring activity in the food service industry in April 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics dashboard.

April 2022 has seen an increase of 1.94% in the overall hiring activity when compared with March 2022.

IT jobs accounted for a 1.87% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in April 2022, registering an increase of 0.27% over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in April 2022

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Europe with a share of 60.87% in April 2022, a flat growth over the previous month. Computer and Information Analysts came in next, claiming a share of 13.04% in April 2022, marking a flat month-on-month increase. In the third place was Computer Support Specialists with a share of 13.04% in April 2022, a flat growth from March 2022.

Database and Network Administrators and Architects registered a share of 13.04% in April 2022, a flat growth over the previous month.

Top five food service companies in Europe’s IT recruitment activity in April 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 53.33% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Europe’s food service industry during April 2022 over previous month.

Delivery Hero posted 16 IT jobs in April 2022 and registered an increase of 33.33% over the previous month, followed by Darden Restaurants with 3 jobs and a flat growth. Kingston Hospital NHS Trust Dining Services with 2 IT jobs and Marston’s with 1 jobs, recorded a 100% rise and a flat growth, respectively, while Soho House recorded a 50% decline with 1 job postings during April 2022.

Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Europe’s food service industry

Germany commanded a leading presence in the region’s food service industry IT hiring activity with a 69.57% share in April 2022, a 33.33% increase over March 2022. The UK featured next with a 17.39% share, flat growth over the previous month. Poland recorded an 8.7% share, a flat growth compared with March 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in April 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 82.61%, up by 72.73% from March 2022. Mid Level positions with an 8.7% share, registered a flat growth compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with an 8.7% share, down 60% over March 2022.
