June 2022 has seen a decrease of 20.12% in the overall hiring activity when compared with May 2022.
IT jobs accounted for a 0.63% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in June 2022, registering a decrease of 0.04% over the last three-month average share.
Miscellaneous Computer Occupations Occupations leads by classification in June 2022
Miscellaneous Computer Occupations Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in North America with a share of 52.07% in June 2022, a 58.88% drop over the previous month. Database and Network Administrators and Architects came in next, claiming a share of 27.81% in June 2022, marking a 107.35% month-on-month increase. In the third place was Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers with a share of 11.05% in June 2022, an 11.11% drop from May 2022.
Computer and Information Analysts registered a share of 6.31% in June 2022, a 45.45% rise over the previous month.
Top five food service companies in North America’s IT recruitment activity in June 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average decline of 43.64% in the overall IT recruitment activity of North America’s food service industry during June 2022 over previous month.
Bloomin’ Brands posted 189 IT jobs in June 2022 and registered a decline of 69.02% over the previous month, followed by Aimbridge Hospitality with 100 jobs and a 222.58% growth. Denny’s with 39 IT jobs and Darden Restaurants with 23 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a flat growth, respectively, while HelloFresh recorded a 10.53% increase with 21 job postings during June 2022.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in North America’s food service industry
The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s food service industry IT hiring activity with a 99.21% share in June 2022, a 37.28% decrease over May 2022. Canada featured next with a 0.79% share, up 300% over the previous month. recorded a flat share, a flat growth compared with May 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in June 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 85.8%, down by 41.84% from May 2022. Entry Level positions with a 7.5% share, registered a growth of 35.71% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 6.71% share, up 6.25% over May 2022.
