Miscellaneous Computer Occupations Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in North America with a share of 40.84% in August 2022, a 50.13% drop over the previous month. Database and Network Administrators and Architects came in next, claiming a share of 27.37% in August 2022, marking a 2.36% month-on-month decline. In the third place was Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers with a share of 21.19% in August 2022, a 95.92% rise from July 2022.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average decline of 34.32% in the overall IT recruitment activity of North America’s food service industry during August 2022 over previous month.
Bloomin’ Brands posted 128 IT jobs in August 2022 and registered a decline of 63.53% over the previous month, followed by Aimbridge Hospitality with 71 jobs and a 29% drop. DoorDash with 54 IT jobs and Denny’s with 33 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a 1550% rise, respectively, while The University of Texas at Austin Division of Housing and Food Service recorded a 26.32% increase with 24 job postings during August 2022.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in North America’s food service industry
The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s food service industry IT hiring activity with a 96.91% share in August 2022, a 24.83% decrease over July 2022. Canada featured next with a 3.09% share, up 55.56% over the previous month. recorded a flat share, a flat growth compared with July 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in August 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 83.66%, down by 30.59% from July 2022. Mid Level positions with a 9.49% share, registered a growth of 79.17% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 6.84% share, up 34.78% over July 2022.
