Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in North America with a share of 47.69% in November 2021, a 69.09% rise over the previous month. Computer Support Specialists came in next, claiming a share of 16.92% in November 2021, marking a 135.71% month-on-month increase. In the third place was Database and Network Administrators and Architects with a share of 13.85% in November 2021, a 28.57% rise from October 2021.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 320% in the overall IT recruitment activity of North America’s food service industry during November 2021 over previous month.
The University of Texas at Austin Division of Housing and Food Service posted 105 IT jobs in November 2021 and registered a flat growth over the previous month, followed by Starbucks with 21 jobs and a 61.54% growth. McDonald’s with 19 IT jobs and Compass Group with 12 jobs, recorded a 216.67% rise and a 20% rise, respectively, while Yum! Brands recorded a flat growth with 11 job postings during November 2021.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in North America’s food service industry
The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s food service industry IT hiring activity with a 96.92% share in November 2021, a 58.82% increase over October 2021. Canada featured next with a 3.08% share, up 200% over the previous month.
Junior Level job postings dominate in November 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 70.26%, up by 85.14% from October 2021. Entry Level positions with a 15.38% share, registered a growth of 114.29% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 14.36% share, down 15.15% over October 2021.
