May 2022 has seen an increase of 106.11% in the overall hiring activity when compared with April 2022.
IT jobs accounted for a 7.91% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in May 2022, registering a decrease of 5.09% over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in May 2022
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in South & Central America with a share of 87.5% in May 2022, a 133.33% rise over the previous month. Computer and Information Analysts came in next, claiming a share of 4.17% in May 2022, marking a 50% month-on-month decline. In the third place was Database and Network Administrators and Architects with a share of 4.17% in May 2022, a flat growth from April 2022.
Miscellaneous Computer Occupations registered a share of 2.08% in May 2022, a flat growth over the previous month.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average flat growth in the overall IT recruitment activity of South & Central America’s food service industry during May 2022 over previous month.

Junior Level jobs held a share of 77.08%, up by 85% from April 2022. Entry Level positions with a 12.5% share, registered a growth of 100% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 10.42% share, up 150% over April 2022.
