South & Central America witnessed a 47.4% rise in IT hiring activity in the food service industry in February 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics dashboard.

February 2022 has seen an increase of 41.3% in the overall hiring activity when compared with January 2022.

IT jobs accounted for a 20.29% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in February 2022, registering an increase of 11.89% over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in February 2022

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in South & Central America with a share of 63.33% in February 2022, a 58.7% drop over the previous month. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations came in next, claiming a share of 33.33% in February 2022, marking a 25% month-on-month increase. In the third place was Computer Support Specialists with a share of 3.33% in February 2022, a flat growth from January 2022.

Top five food service companies in South & Central America’s IT recruitment activity in February 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average flat growth in the overall IT recruitment activity of South & Central America’s food service industry during February 2022 over previous month.

Delivery Hero posted 30 IT jobs in February 2022 and registered a decline of 45.45% over the previous month.

Country-wise composition of IT hiring in South & Central America’s food service industry

Colombia commanded a leading presence in the region’s food service industry IT hiring activity with an 83.33% share in February 2022, a 43.18% decrease over January 2022. Argentina featured next with a 13.33% share, down 50% over the previous month. Peru recorded a 3.33% share, a drop of 66.67% compared with January 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in February 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 90%, down by 44.9% from January 2022. Mid Level positions with a 6.67% share, registered a decline of 50% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 3.33% share, down 50% over January 2022.
