Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in South & Central America with a share of 51.85% in February 2022, a 64.1% drop over the previous month. Computer and Information Analysts came in next, claiming a share of 22.22% in February 2022, marking a 20% month-on-month increase. In the third place was Computer Support Specialists with a share of 18.52% in February 2022, a 54.55% drop from January 2022.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average decline of 30.77% in the overall IT recruitment activity of South & Central America’s just food industry during February 2022 over previous month.
BRF posted 19 IT jobs in February 2022 and registered a decline of 34.48% over the previous month, followed by Alicorp with 3 jobs and a 25% drop. Nestle with 2 IT jobs and JBS with 2 jobs, recorded a 50% drop and a flat growth, respectively, while Mars recorded a flat growth with 1 job postings during February 2022.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in South & Central America’s just food industry
Brazil commanded a leading presence in the region’s just food industry IT hiring activity with an 85.19% share in February 2022, a 25.81% decrease over January 2022. Peru featured next with an 11.11% share, down 40% over the previous month. Argentina recorded a 3.7% share, a drop of 50% compared with January 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in February 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 81.48%, down by 52.17% from January 2022. Entry Level positions with an 18.52% share, registered a decline of 66.67% compared with the previous month.
