Admiral Taverns has re-opened the White Horse pub in Gosport, UK, following an investment of £239,000 on its refurbishment.

The pub, part of the company’s Proper Pubs division, now has a contemporary look both inside and out, aimed at enhancing customers’ experience.

Situated on Nobes Avenue in the town, it has been transformed with a complete interior and exterior makeover.

The internal refurbishment includes new furniture, fixtures, fittings and flooring, and a full redecoration of the main bar area, function space and games room.

Externally, the pub has been updated with new lighting and signage to welcome patrons.

The revamped garden now features a new lawn, wooden benches and pontoon lighting, providing an outdoor space for customers.

The White Horse offers an extensive range of drinks and broadcasts TNT, Sky Sports and horse racing channels.

The White Horse operator Philip Coleman said: “Opening night was brilliant! It was amazing to welcome all our customers, old and new, to the newly transformed pub and it was great to be able to show off everything that the White Horse has to offer.

“The feedback we’ve received from the community so far has been incredible, and we can’t wait to see them again soon!”

Proper Pubs operations director Matthew Gurney said: “The refurbishment at the White Horse looks fantastic and I’m pleased that the opening night went so well. This was a well-deserved result for the team following all their hard work to make the pub a success.

“On behalf of the Proper Pubs team, we would like to wish Philip every success for the future in making the White Horse a vital community hub.”

The refurbishment follows the recent re-opening of the Brockburn, another pub in the Admiral Taverns portfolio located in Glasgow, in February 2024.

The Brockburn, formerly known as The Pollock, also underwent a substantial refurbishment with an investment of £340,000.
