Swiss retail and food and beverage (F&B) company Avolta has won a 12-year dining contract at Toronto Pearson International Airport in Canada.
Under the contract, Avolta subsidiary HMSHost will be responsible for transforming the dining experience across more than 5,300m² (57,500ft²) of space across Terminal 1 (T1) and Terminal 3 (T3).

The company plans to introduce a slate of Canadian dining brands as part of the contract. This will include concepts such as Mary Brown’s Chicken, OEB Kitchen + Bar and Libretto Slice Shop.
HMSHost will also deepen its collaboration with Canadian chef Roger Mooking to develop a new F&B concept to complement his existing T1 venue, Twist by Roger Mooking.
Alongside new brands, the programme includes a refresh of existing concessions, with updated menus and a stronger emphasis on digital tools.
Planned features include digital waitlists and self-order kiosks, aimed at expediting service and simplifying the ordering process.

By GlobalDataCustomers will also be able to use the Club Avolta loyalty scheme at the airport, accessing offers, rewards and cross-promotions across participating outlets.

Toronto Pearson’s management framed the move as part of a broader shift in airport dining towards greater variety and convenience.
