South Korean fast-food chain bb.q Chicken has expanded its presence in the US with the opening of a new location in Montgomery, Alabama.

This is the second bb.q Chicken establishment in the state, bringing its authentic Korean fried chicken to Montgomery’s residents and visitors.

Situated at 1629 Eastern Blvd, the restaurant introduces the traditional Korean Chimaek concept, combining chicken and beer, to the local food scene.

The opening featured a ribbon-cutting ceremony followed by chicken tastings, raffle events and community networking opportunities.

The event allowed attendees to experience bb.q Chicken’s signature flavours such as Golden Original, Secret Sauce and Honey Garlic Chicken.

bb.q Chicken differentiates itself from traditional American fried chicken offerings by employing a unique frying technique that cooks the chicken at a lower temperature, resulting in a lighter and crispier texture.

The Montgomery location will operate from Sunday to Wednesday between 11am and 9pm, and from Thursday to Saturday between 11am and 10pm.

The chain recently opened a new location in Garfield, New Jersey. The opening was attended by Bergen County Economic Development Representative Greer C Galgano and Garfield City Mayor Richard Rigoglioso. A location at 9672 Garden Grove Blvd, Garden Grove, California, opened in March 2024.
