Bellona Hospitality, the hospitality division of the Phoenix Mall of Asia, has unveiled Eight, a new Pan-Asian bar and restaurant in Bengaluru, India, The Economic Times has reported.
The restaurant, named after the number considered auspicious in China, will serve dishes from a range of Asian regions.
The launch of Eight marks the brand’s third outlet and its first venture into the city of Bengaluru.
The restaurant’s design features a unique blend of corrugated corten steel and metal bulkhead, complemented by rice paper elements.
Eight will be headed by Bellona Hospitality director Prashant Issar and chef Sagar Sarkar.
Issar was quoted by The Economic Times as saying: “We are extremely excited for the launch of Eight in Bengaluru. The city has seen an immense boom in the food and beverages industry, and our passion is to blend the richness of Asian cuisine with the city’s vibrant energy, creating an experience beyond mere dining.
“We want to create a space where every dish, every cocktail and every moment is meticulously crafted to mesmerise our patrons and redefine their expectations.”
The menu at Eight spans Asian cuisines including those of Canton [nowadays Guangzhou], Hong Kong, Taiwan, Malaysia and Japan, as well as signature dishes from lesser-known areas of China.
