Southern-inspired breakfast restaurant Big Bad Breakfast (BBB) is set to launch its new outlet in Charleston, South Carolina, US, on 29 August.

Located at 2664 North Highway 17 in Mount Pleasant, the new restaurant will mark the brand’s second Charleston site and the 18th addition to its overall portfolio.

Customers can visit the BBB location daily for breakfast and lunch between 7am and 2:30pm.

BBB was founded in 2008 by award-winning chef John Currence in Oxford, Mississippi. It offers made-from-scratch breakfast and lunch dishes, as well as brunch cocktails.

Items on the menu include jellies and jams, buttermilk biscuits and omelettes.

BBB’s Charleston site also uses various regional and local ingredients to create some of chef Currence’s signature menu items.

Currence said: “Big Bad Breakfast has really found a great home in Charleston, so when the opportunity to open a second location in the area became available, it was a no-brainer.

“Everyone on the team is excited to open our second Big Bad Breakfast location in the area and that’s largely because the Charleston community has welcomed us so positively and has been interested in our food, our style and business.”

The chain currently has 17 restaurants located across North Carolina, South Carolina, Alabama, Florida, Kentucky, Arkansas, Mississippi and Tennessee.
