Black Angus Steakhouse has added Steakhouse Bowls to the menu, featuring vegetables and grains served with a choice of sirloin steak, chicken, grilled shrimp or salmon.

Each bowl contains cucumbers, balsamic onions, red cabbage, shredded carrots, diced tomato and crispy zucchini tossed with a balsamic dressing.

It is topped with Black Angus’s five-grain blend and served with honey-sriracha or BBQ sauce.

“The new Steakhouse Bowls are the perfect solution for restaurant goers who seek our coveted proteins in a nutritiously light way.”

Black Angus Steakhouse CEO Chris Ames said: “Protein has always taken the lead on the Black Angus menu; it’s what the restaurant was built on and what we are still known for today.

“Just as food trends and lifestyles evolve, so must our offerings. The new Steakhouse Bowls are the perfect solution for restaurant goers who seek our coveted proteins in a nutritiously light way, whether over a lunchtime meeting or during a day-date.”

Each bowl is available during lunch hours at select restaurants for prices ranging from $11.99 to $13.99.

Steakhouse Bowls are currently available at Black Angus Lakewood, Buena Park, Santa Ana, Torrance and Whittier locations.

The company has plans to expand this menu item to more locations across the US later this year.

Headquartered in Los Angeles, Black Angus Steakhouse currently operates 44 locations across California, Washington, Arizona, New Mexico, Alaska and Hawaii.

It offers a range of menu items, including Angus beef steaks, burgers, seafood, salads, sides and desserts along with craft beer, wine and cocktails.
