US-based Briggo Coffee has opened a gourmet, fully automated Coffee Haus at San Francisco International Airport (SFO).
Located on gate 72 inside Terminal 3, the new robotic barista marks the beginning of the brand’s national expansion. It recently opened a second Briggo Coffee Haus in Austin-Bergstrom International Airport in Texas.
Customers can use the Briggo mobile app or the Coffee Haus touchscreens to create customised drinks such as flavoured latte, cappuccino, and several other gourmet coffee and tea drinks.
Coffee Haus features Briggo’s robotic technology to craft drinks from custom whole-bean blends, fresh dairy and gourmet syrups.
Briggo CEO Kevin Nater said: “Speed, quality, and consistency are at an absolute premium when it comes to airport amenities, which makes Briggo the perfect coffee experience for one of the top rated airports in the world.
“We’re honoured to bring Connected Coffee to such a vibrant, tech-savvy city as we quickly expand our presence throughout the Bay Area and beyond.”
The Coffee Haus will feature own-branded Briggo Blend of Arabica beans, and will rotate specialty blends from local roasters such as Verve and Sightglass.
Sightglass co-founder Jerad Morrison said: “We love that travellers will be able to get a cup of Sightglass coffee at SFO, a moment of pleasure during whatever journey they’re on. Briggo brings some serious innovation to brewing coffee, and Sightglass is a great match for that.”
As part of the launch, the coffeehouse chain has also partnered with US-based rideshare service Lyft to offer a 15% discount on their next Lyft ride to or from SFO for a limited time.
