US-based food manufacturer C.H. Guenther & Son (CHG) has purchased Germany-based baked goods supplier for foodservice industry Wback.
Established in 2003, the baked goods company acts as a supplier for various quick-service restaurants (QSRs) and food retailers through its two manufacturing facilities in Bönen and Leipheim, Germany. The company is headquartered in Bönen.

The deal’s financial terms have not been disclosed. The baked goods supplier will continue to operate under the same brand and will produce products from its existing facilities.
Wback managing director Matthias Geißler said: “CHG’s broad capability set, global manufacturing expertise and focus on product quality will allow Wback to continue providing the best service to our customers while also expanding our geographic distribution.”
Through this deal, CHG currently has 22 food manufacturing locations in the US, Canada and Western Europe with more than 3,500 employees working in them.
CHG CEO Dale Tremblay said: “Matthias and the entire Wback team have done a tremendous job growing Wback into a market-leading bun producer.
