Nevada-based fast casual restaurant chain Capriotti’s plans to open a new franchise location at 5856 Barnes Rd. in Colorado Springs, Colorado, US, in April.

The opening of the new restaurant is expected to create 24 new jobs in the city. It is owned and operated by husband and wife Ron and Christen Sanders.

This will be their second franchise, and they plan to open the third in the InterQuest Marketplace shopping centre this summer.

The new location will offer a wide range of sandwiches, including The Bobbie, a sandwich made with oven-roasted turkey, cranberry sauce and mayo, and The Capastrami, a sandwich made with pastrami, Swiss cheese, Russian dressing and coleslaw.

The cheesesteak sandwich is made using steak, chicken or plant-based meat and melted cheese along with peppers.

Capriotti’s has an order-ahead option along with third-party delivery services.

Ron Sanders said: “Working with the Air Force Academy Athletics has been very rewarding. I was in the Air Force for 27 years, and this feels like a good way to give back to the institution that shaped my career and my life.

“We are excited to continue working with them and help supply athletes with fresh, delicious food.”

Last month, Capriotti’s and Wing Zone opened their franchise stores at NYNY Casino at 3790 South Las Vegas Blvd in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The store opening was the result of an agreement between the restaurant chains and Fifth Avenue Restaurant Group.

Fifth Avenue Restaurant Group plans to open several more Capriotti’s and Wing Zone restaurants within Las Vegas in the near future.
