US-based foodservice equipment maker Empire Equipment has acquired TruTemp Equipment and Norm’s Refrigeration to establish a wholesale distribution platform for commercial foodservice equipment.

Both companies offer value-added wholesale distribution of commercial foodservice equipment and aftermarket parts to the foodservice and hospitality industries.

Under the partnership, Empire Equipment will gain access to seven distribution locations across Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada, Southern and Northern California markets.

Empire Equipment CEO Jim Kirkland said: “We look forward to working with the talented team at TruTemp and Norm’s to continue providing exceptional customer service to their loyal customers.

“The transaction will increase Empire’s size and geographic footprint and expand the distribution of its product set.”

In addition, the transaction will increase Empire’s size and geographic footprint and expand the distribution of its product set.

The three companies are currently serving as distribution partners for various commercial foodservice brands including American Range, Blue Air, Cornelius, Everpure, Ice-O-Matic, Royal, Scotsman and True.
