Pizza Hut is set to expand its beer delivery pilot programme to 100 stores across Arizona and California this month.

Under the pilot programme, the restaurant chain will deliver beer to customers in a custom cooler in collaboration with MillerCoors.

Pizza Hut CMO Zipporah Allen said: “Pizza Hut has and always will be focused on serving customers a great pizza experience. And nothing complements an oven-hot pizza like an ice-cold beer.

“Expanding the pilot programme is a natural way for Pizza Hut to get our customers the perfect pizza and beer combo they’re craving.”

“In addition to our extensive delivery network, many Pizza Hut restaurants are already licensed to serve and distribute beer, without third party services, additional fees, or extended wait times.

“Expanding the pilot programme is a natural way for Pizza Hut to get our customers the perfect pizza and beer combo they’re craving, delivered right to their doors.”

In addition, the pizza chain is offering a free delivery service for customers who order select six-packs of beer including Coors Light, Blue Moon, or Miller High Life from any location.

Pizza Hut locations offering beer delivery service in Arizona include Phoenix, Tucson, Glendale, Prescott and Winslow. Californian locations include Los Angeles, Bakersfield, Riverside, Sacramento, Santa Barbara and Santa Clara.

The global restaurant chain is also planning to expand the service to additional locations including Anaheim, Fresno, Huntington Beach and Redding this month.

Pizza Hut currently operates more than 16,700 restaurants in the US and 100 countries across the world.
