FAT Brands, the parent company of Marble Slab Creamery, has signed a development deal with the Canadian Ice Cream Company to establish 40 new franchised locations across Canada.

The expansion plan outlines the opening of Marble Slab Creamery stores over the ten years to 2033, with the inaugural location expected by the end of 2024.

For almost 40 years, Marble Slab Creamery has been offering homemade, small-batch ice cream with free unlimited mix-ins, shakes in a variety of flavours and ice cream cakes.

The new deal will bolster the chain’s position in the Canadian market, bringing its total presence to 140 units.

In November 2023, Great American Cookies and Marble Slab Creamery, both part of FAT Brands, expanded their menu offerings with the addition of Red Velvet Hot Cocoa sweets.

The Red Velvet Hot Cocoa Cookie is a seasonal take on the traditional Red Velvet Cookie, served with hot cocoa and topped with micro marshmallows. Customers of Great American Cookies can also order the flavour as a scoop of ice cream or a shake.

At Marble Slab Creamery, customers can purchase the new Red Velvet Hot Cocoa Ice Cream – a blend of Red Velvet Ice Cream and cocoa made extra sweet with fudge sauce and mini marshmallows.
