US-based restaurant chain Figaro’s Pizza has announced a collaboration with Delphinus Foods to expand its presence in India.
Delphinus Foods owners Avinash and Manali Parab are already Figaro’s Pizza’s franchisees in the US.
They plan to open Figaro’s Pizza’s first location in Mumbai and will become the Master Franchise Partner of the restaurant chain in Maharashtra, Gujarat and Goa (West of India).
In the next few years, Delphinus Foods plans to develop more than 100 Figaro’s Pizza stores in major west Indian cities with exclusive development franchise partners.
It also plans to open equity stores with approximately $12.55m (Rs1bn) investment.
Manali Parab has developed a menu for Indian stores in collaboration with Figaro’s product development and food technology team. The Parabs have also started working with real estate developers for initial important store locations.

By GlobalDataFigaro’s Pizza CEO Ron Berger said: “With more than 40 years in the business in the US and globally, Figaro’s has inherent strong SOPs and strengths which if accompanied with Avinash and Manali’s on-hand pizza experience, running a franchise system successfully and being from India, can become a powerful offering to our partners and customers.”
Furthermore, the restaurant chain is looking for franchise partners to develop its stores in India.
In January, Figaro’s Italian Pizza signed a deal with FranGlobal, the international business arm of Franchise India Holding, to open Figaro’s pizza outlets throughout India.
The agreement will expedite Figaro’s store openings across the country’s markets.
Over the next four years, FranGlobal plans to open 250 outlets in the country’s major cities.
