Fogo de Chão, the restaurant chain known for its southern Brazilian cuisine, is expanding its presence in California with a lease agreement for a new location in Roseville.

The 7,727ft² restaurant at 1104 Galleria Boulevard will open in late 2024.

It will be the company’s fourth northern California location and will bring the brand to 15 locations across the state.

Ridge at Creekside, where the new Fogo de Chão will be located, has 256,842ft² of retail space and offers premier shopping and dining experiences.

Designed in collaboration with Innovation & Design in Architecture, the new restaurant will embody Fogo de Chão’s recent brand transformation.

This includes enhanced design elements such as an enclosed patio with firepits, new menu options and a dry-aged meat locker for in-house ageing of cuts. Its Long-Bone Tomahawk Ribeye is aged for at least 42 days.

Fogo de Chão CEO Barry McGowan said: “For nearly 45 years, Fogo has introduced authentic Brazilian flavours to cities across the world.

“We have received incredible guest reception for our current Northern California locations and we look forward to sharing the culinary art of churrasco with Placer County communities soon.”

Fogo de Chão will offer a churrasco dining experience, in which guests can observe gaucho chefs expertly butchering, preparing and grilling cuts of meat over an open flame.

The restaurant’s Market Table will be a central feature, offering seasonal salads, fresh superfoods, cured meats and antipasti.

The new Roseville location will also include social gathering spaces throughout Bar Fogo.

Additionally, the restaurant will feature dry-aged meat lockers for in-house aging.

In February 2024 Fogo de Chão announced plans to open a new restaurant in Towson, Maryland, expanding its US footprint.
