US-based restaurant franchisee Guernsey Holdings has contracted XMReality for a supply of Remote Guidance software.
Guernsey Holdings, the largest operator of Sonic restaurants in the US, will use the XMReality Remote Guidance to facilitate remote collaboration between colleagues and suppliers across its restaurant locations.
XMReality noted that its Remote Guidance technology is an AR-enabled knowledge-sharing tool, which enables communication with someone at another location through gestures, speech, chat and pointers.
Remote Guidance comprises a hands-overlay technology, which allows the user to guide someone else’s hands. It also includes a web portal to manage teams and users and to measure usage.
XMReality business development vice-president Ryne Simeone said: “We are excited to welcome Guernsey Holdings to the XMReality family.
“Guernsey Holdings is one of the fastest growing restaurant operators in the country and invests heavily in its people and the communities it serves and we are pleased to work with them as they continue to grow their presence in the US.”
