Global restaurant brand Hard Rock International (HRI) has renewed its lease agreement with Universal Orlando Resort for another 20 years.
This will allow the company to continue operating in the Universal CityWalk entertainment complex.
As part of the extended agreement, Hard Rock Café Orlando will be open through 2039.
Hard Rock International cafe operations president Stephen K Judge said: “Hard Rock Cafe Orlando has maintained its position as a top destination for Orlando-natives and visitors with our iconic Cafe, Rock Shop and Live venue at Universal CityWalk.
“We’re excited to continue this great partnership with Universal Orlando so that fans around the world can continue to travel to this legendary location and create memories with us for the next 20 years.”
Located in Orlando, Florida, the Hard Rock Cafe site features a multi-level cafe, rock shop and a concert venue to accommodate 3,000 people.
The location also displays various music memorabilia such as a hand-painted Beatles poster, Buddy Holly’s black glasses and Pete Townshend’s 1973 Gibson Les Paul guitar.
Hard Rock currently operates 185 cafes, 27 hotels and 11 casinos across 75 countries globally. The company’s cafes are in major cities that include London, New York, San Francisco, Sydney and Dubai.
In January, Hard Rock signed a strategic partnership with online reservations platform OpenTable to enhance the hospitality experience across its US and European locations.
Under the deal, the company allows guests to book reservations using Hard Rock International’s website, the OpenTable app or the OpenTable website.
It will also allow Hard Rock to promote key restaurant events and programmes to the OpenTable diner network.
