Online food ordering and food delivery platform iFood has partnered with Uber Technologies to streamline transportation and delivery services in Brazil.
The collaboration is set to offer millions of Brazilian consumers the convenience of booking Uber rides and accessing iFood’s extensive delivery options for food, groceries, pharmacies and convenience items, all within their respective apps.
The Delivery tab will transition to iFood while using Uber. A new Mobility tab will allow consumers to book their rides via Uber while using iFood.
Uber One and Clube iFood, the membership programmes offered by Uber and iFood respectively, will see no immediate changes. Both companies have agreed to explore joint membership initiatives shortly.
The integration simplifies daily tasks for users planning commutes or ordering essentials, saving time and improving customer satisfaction by eliminating the need to switch between multiple applications.
Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi stated: “We are thrilled to partner with iFood in Brazil. Today, only around half of iFood and Uber customers in Brazil use both platforms. So this partnership represents a big milestone in our mission to help people go anywhere and get anything at the tap of a button.”
