Under the agreement, Toast will roll out its point-of-sale (POS) systems and self-service kiosks across Ike’s locations.

Ike’s Love & Sandwiches CEO Michael Goldberg said: “Ike’s has always been about making sandwiches people can’t stop thinking about and being a place where everyone feels welcome.

“As we scale, we need a partner that moves as fast as we do. Toast allows our teams to stay focused on the guest while the tech handles the heavy lifting. It’s the perfect match for our energy and our obsession with creating remarkable experiences.”

Toast enterprise chief operating officer and chief marketing officer Kelly Esten said: “Ike’s Love & Sandwiches is proof that when you combine a bold vision with a generosity of spirit, you create something iconic.

“Toast is proud to be the foundation for their continued expansion, providing purposeful tech designed for the breakneck speed of a busy lunch rush.

“We’re here to help handle the complexity of the operation so Ike’s can keep mastering the art of the sandwich and bringing more love to every new neighbourhood they enter.”

Toast offers an all-in-one platform of software-as-a-service (SaaS) products and financial technology tools designed to help restaurants run their businesses.

The company counts “hundreds of multi-unit brands” as its clients, including Caribou Coffee, Perkins American Food, Nothing Bundt Cakes, and Costa Vida Fresh Mexican Grill, among others.

Last November, TGI Fridays entered a partnership to deploy Toast’s restaurant technology across all of its sites in the US.
