Independents by Sodexo has received a catering contract from Victoria College in Belfast, Ireland to provide catering and hospitality services.
As part of the contract, the foodservice firm will serve 870 students at the college’s Cranmore Park and Richmond campuses.

The company signed the contract last month and will offer a wide range of menu items with a focus on nutritious and seasonal food at the two campuses.
Victoria College Corporate Services head Colin Tenner said: “At all stages of the tender process, we were impressed with the professionalism of the Independents by Sodexo team and their offer of healthy and nutritious food for our pupils and staff.
“We are really looking forward to seeing the new service in place, growing revenues, and delivering the quality of food expected by our pupils, parents and staff.”
In addition, Independents by Sodexo has extended its cleaning services contract with Rathmore Grammar School.

By GlobalDataAs part of the latest deal, the company will provide daily housekeeping, evening cleaning and out of term services to more than 1,200 students at the campus. It is also serving the school’s catering partner since August 2016.

Rathmore Grammar School bursar Donna Magee said: “Over the last three years, we have been extremely pleased with the catering services provided by Independents by Sodexo. The addition of the school’s cleaning to the contract supports our vision of innovation that has already been bought to the food service helping to provide the quality education our pupils deserve.”
The company currently offers services to three education establishments in Northern Ireland.
In March this year, Independents by Sodexo secured a five-year catering services contract valued at £4m with The King’s School in Chester, England.
